I agree rent is much expensive in Dubai than in countries like Thailand, but still you can get a better price than 10k a month for sure. I am actually living in a two bedroom apartment arround Abu Hail for a yearly rent of 12k
My rent in a studio apartment in Sobha Hartland (next to Nad El Shiba in Mohammad Bin Rashid City went up from AED 33K to AED 45K after negotiating from a stated new price of AED 50K!
In Sydney, a two bedroom apartment on the east side can cost $800 a week
12k dollar or AED??? it depends where you are staying. I have purchased a big townhouse with 5 bedroom and living, dining and garden swimming pool in Green community but when I compare with Delhi, India, I am much happy here. and if u buy property here once, the burden of rent flew away and U r more stable here.
the best about Dubai is security and infrastructure. the best in the world.
@@honestopinion676 12k USD per year

Oh, come on, those are not the real rental prices. You can get cheaper neighborhoods for very low. 10K 12K you mention is the very high end. And you know this because you mention it in your video “Ultimate Guide For Surviving Dubai”.
@@importedvixen But if you don’t have medical from company, what sort of healthcare costs does Dubai charge? Very expensive or reasonable?
I just don’t like how it feels in Dubai in general. It feels empty, like the city has no soul. The only city in the world that I’ve visited that I was happy to leave.

No, it’s definitely not cheaper, I can surely tell you that. Especially health and education costs incredible amounts, millions of dollars is needed for health care and education if you want to live a decent life.

$10-20k a month for a 1-2 bedroom apartment??? Sounds very high. I’m paying around $1,700/month for a 100sqm apartment in Abu Dhabi and I don’t think the difference is THAT big.

There are unethical work practices that happen especially with people who are from low class who can’t read and write which gets them trapped in an unfair work situation which they are unable to get out of by themselves and as they don’t know that they can legally get help, they turn into a work slave basically. But slavery as well as these unethical work practices are illegal and you can sue them, get compensated, move to a different/better work place or go back to your home country if you are in such situations if you just reach out to the authorities about it regardless of who you are…..
Employers taking passports from employees are no longer allowed in uae since 5 to 7 years ago..
I worked there for almost 4 years and the working environment is a hell specially on food and beverages, restaurants or hotels.. accomodation also is a problem

Thank you for your video. (1) of course as a foreigner you don’t expect the government to look after you (2) if you are moving to Dubai from another country, you are likely not on a tight budget and (3) if you are racist you have no business being here. Dubai is perhaps the safest city over million people in the world and has an incredible and welcoming government that is why we are here.
Given how racist and xenophobic the UAE itself and enshrines it explicitly in law I don’t think point 3 is valid.
@02june80 ما هو من زمن الخلافات مجرد بدائي و معادي للدين
Dubai is build by slavery.
Dubai is overrated.
Yep. I was in dubai for 16 years. I bought off plan a property between dubai and Abu Dhabi. This was just before the US caused a global financial tsunami. I had put down a large deposit and the rest was financed. The developer stopped building and the banks kept asking me to disburse stage payments which wasn’t their job to do as they just wanted me to pay more so they could charge more interest. I had to go to lawyers to get the developer and the greedy bank to cease and desist hassling me because they had built zero. It took me 4 years to get a property and I lost $200k. I made it all back and worked hard and then some. That’s the downside of dubai where there’s no protection. The upside is that the money was amazing and the lifestyle fantastic but that was between 2004-2017 when I was there. I recently travelled back from NZ for a years contract and hated it, all my mates had left and the crowd is full of plastic influencer garbage and very shallow people. I loved dubai but I never will forgive those in Abu Dhabi that screwed over so many investors. They were evil.
😂😂😂 10/10 would get screwed over again

I disagree about the rent in Dubai being 10k.
There are plenty of apartments for rent in the heart of the city for under 50k AED/year. (Under 1k/month)

Well i had my disappointments with dubai. Someone in my circle filled a fake complaint against me which was initially a friendly loan and portrayed as an atm theft and ran to India immediately and without any investigation or fact check my passport was stuck for 2 years. I couldn’t do anything with lawyers or police they were like either pay a settlement or the other party should be present here to go ahead with proceedings. Worst 2 years of life . I had to pay finally as soon as i came in contact with the party. Funny thing , same case opened again after 1 year by the same person after settlement being shown in the police station. Now i have a travel ban from uae if I travel now again they will take my passport back and make me pay.
That’s insane!

My only worry about Dubai is I have this idea it is a very materalistic society obsessed with wealth and money.. which just isn’t me. I’m cheap, happy to be cheap, like to save money for my retirement, have no interest in fancy clothes / etc…. Most non-Arab people think that Dubai is a country, they do not even know that Dubai is a region in a country called the Emirates.

Interesting, I guess Dubai would be akin to a state in the U.S. ( i.e. Texas, New York, Rhode Island, etc) which is not a separate country, whereas United Arab Emirates is the country, in the same way that the U.S. is a country.
you gave me the main reasons to move ASAP to Dubai.
But Dubai and the UAE have long been the subject of complaints of mistreatment of workers. Migrant workers say they often face brutal conditions, shifts of 12 hours or more, and that companies withhold paychecks or workers’ passports so as not to let them quit or return home.
I myself face the same when I was working there then I suffered from ptsd
Wow. I had no idea. Sorry to hear that. USA is not any better. The average person has to work hard just to get by. There is a lot of homeless people. I’ve burnt through all my savings since I lost my job. I am back to square 1. It’s a rat race. 😢

Can you relate more?
Workers in India are treated worse in India with almost no pay than they do in Dubai. That is what people don’t see
‼️Dubai today is 44 degrees, it is seen as 53 degrees on the phone… While driving on the road, I was talking to my wife about the lack of air conditioning, the windows were closed but it was still not cold enough inside the car, then the bus carrying the construction workers passed us and I was very upset and ashamed of myself. , the people in the bus look like they are dying from the heat, no one is smiling, all the windows of the bus are open so the air conditioner is not working or there is no air conditioning, this is an embarrassing system… UEA trying to make everything flashy, trying to make everything perfect, the ministry of labor or the royal unaware of it or It is very sad that it is careless or does not bring a certain standard…

The rent in Dubai is not 10 grand per month unless you want to live right below Burj Khalifa. I live in Dubai and Barsha heights which is an extremely nice area has a rent of 120k per year for two bedroom apartment, that’s roughly $32k per year.
What is the average rent in Dubai for 1 bedroom? As in if one was to share rental? Anything over 1k dollars a month is too much not including bills. Most people don’t earn 6 or even 7-figure salaries.
